Coach
Rachel is one of CFS’s newest morning coaches, leading our 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. CrossFit classes. What she loves most about CrossFit is the community. Rachel believes there’s a level of accountability and support that pushes all of us to keep showing up, challenge ourselves, and continue growing and improving.
As part of a military family, Rachel and her family have moved and started over in new places more times than they can count. CrossFit has given them a way to find their people and build a community wherever they go. No matter where they’ve moved, they’ve found a gym community ready to welcome them in.
When it comes to coaching, Rachel’s favorite movement is the front squat, and her favorite workout is “Fight Gone Bad!” Her least favorites? DT, Fran, and pretty much anything involving rope climbs.
We asked Rachel about her favorite food, and her answer was simply… “Coffee.” We’ll allow it.
When she’s not drinking coffee, Rachel enjoys crafting, home projects, and anything DIY. For travel, she highly recommends the Czech Republic at Christmas, but she also loves Arches National Park.
Rachel’s favorite quote perfectly captures her outlook:
“Sometimes the greatest growth comes from learning to embrace where you are, not where you think you should be.”
