
Coach
Coach Candis Howe is a CFS coach and one of the gym’s owners. You’ll most often find her coaching on Mondays and leading the 10 a.m. classes throughout the week. When asked what she loves most about CrossFit, Candis points to the strong sense of community, the constant challenge, and the friendly competition it brings. CrossFit pushes her both physically and mentally—and it always leaves her in a better mood.
Candis says her favorite skill or movement to coach is anything that helps an athlete overcome fear, like conquering their first box jump. Her favorite CrossFit benchmark workout is, by far, Karen—because who wouldn’t love completing 150 wall balls as fast as possible? On the flip side, she’s more than happy to skip ring dips whenever given the chance.
When she’s not coaching, Candis enjoys pizza, spending time with her family, working out, hanging out with her family pit bull mix, Harvey, and getting outdoors. As for travel, she admits it’s hard to choose, but after some thought, she names Wyoming as the most beautiful place she’s ever experienced.
