Monica working through a wrist injury
Injuries can be frustrating. It is hard to stay motivated to come to the gym when your bed is warm and the weather is cold. I'd like to think the community is why you come in... but I know it also has to do with not wanting to stop working on your goals.
Right now, we have two athletes, Jhauna (ankle) and Monica (wrist) in braces and casts! I can tell you right now, with mornings in the low thirties, I don't know I would want to come into the gym and look at a board when I have to scale everything. But these ladies are doing it! It reminds me that some "injuries" aren't really injuries but negative self talk we do to ourselves or about how we look/feel about ourselves.
I can honestly say I have had several people come in lately thinking, I can't do this, I weigh too much, I need to lose weight first, or I don't want to be last in the workout. Or they think they aren't good enough. They will never get a pull-up. The terrible things we tell ourselves, keep us from being the best version of ourselves. If any one of us heard our daughters the things we TELL OURSELVES, we'd cry.
Yet here we are.
So if you are ready to be the best version of you. If you think you have an injury and need help and direction. If you are tired of going to a traditional gym and no one shows you how to use the equipment without hundred of dollars in "personal training" - you should try CrossFit Solano.
